Kids are always attracted to eat something that is appealing to the eyes. So giving a makeover to some popular dishes by adding chicken mince, veggies that children avoids can make them eat healthy food.I am presenting the regular samosa in different avatar and baking has made it healthier.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Maida or all purpose flour
  2. 1 tsp carrom seeds
  3. 1 pinch baking soda
  4. 5 tsp butter
  5. 1 boiled potato peeled
  6. 100 gm Mince chicken
  7. 1 chopped onion
  8. 1/2 cup boiled peas
  9. 1 capsicum chopped
  10. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  13. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  14. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  15. 5-6 Curry Leaves
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take maida, salt, soda, carrom seeds in a bowl and knead a soft dough. Keep it aside.
  2. In a pan add oil and heat it on high flame. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and wait till it splutter. Add curry leaves, onion and some salt. Let onion turn translucent. Add ginger garlic paste.
  3. When raw smell of garlic goes away add mince chicken into the pan. Add turmeric powder, salt ,red chilly powder.
  4. When chicken cooks add boiled potato , peas and capsicum. Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes
  5. Take the dough and divide into small balls. Roll out a roti and cut into square shape. Bring all corners into the centre and flip the roti place some filling in the centre and some grated cheese on top of it. bring all corners together. Press it properly so that it doesn't open. Now flip the samosa and open 4 petals.
  6. Brush some butter on the samosa and bake it for 5-10 minutes. It will bloom while baking.
  7. Serve with ketchup or mango mint chutney. And garnish with black sesame seeds .
