Oats can be called doctor in a bowl, since it fights against conditions ranging from high blood pressure and cholesterol to diabetes and even cancer! Carrots and paneer add more good health and taste to this wonder ingredient.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
  2. 1/4 cup grated low-fat paneer
  3. 1/2 cupboiled , peeled and mashed potatoes
  4. 1/4 cup grated carrot
  5. 1 tbsp finelychopped coriander
  6. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  7. 1 1/2 tspginger-green chilli paste
  8. 1 tsp chilli pwd
  9. 1 tsp dried mango powder
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Other Ingredients-1/4 cuplow-fat milk for coating
  13. 1/2 cupquick cooking rolled oatsfor coating
  14. 1 1/2 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

Instructions

  1. For the cutlets----- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a flat round cutlet.
  3. Dip each tikki in the milk and then roll them in oats till they are evenly coated from both the sides.
  4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it using 1/4 tsp of oil.
  5. Cook each tikki, using 1/8 tsp of oil, till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  6. Serve hot with healthy green chutney.
