Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Digestive biscuits 800g or 30piece
  2. Toasted walnuts 1 cup
  3. Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar 1 cup
  5. Water 1 cup

Instructions

  1. HEAT A NON-STICK PAN ON MEDIUM HEAT,TOAST 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS FOR ABOUT 5 MINS,KEEP STIRRING.
  2. BREAK 800G OR 30 PIECE BISCUITS INTO SMALL PIECES INTO A LARGE BOWL.
  3. ADD TOASTED WALNUTS OVER THE BISCUITS.
  4. BRING A NON-STICK SAUCE PAN,ADD 1/2 CUP COCOA POWDER,1 CUP SUGAR AND 1CUP WATER. MIX IT WELL.
  5. ON THE FLAME,PLACE THE PAN ON MEDIUM HEAT AND STIR IT.
  6. ADD 150G OR 2/3 CUP BUTTER. MIX WELL.
  7. BRING TO BOIL FOR ABOUT 8-10MINUTES STIRRING CONSTANTLY. OFF THE FLAME AND REMOVE THE PAN.
  8. ADD 1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT AND SET IT ASSIDE TO COOL FOR ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES.
  9. POUR THE SYRUP OVER THE BISCUITS AND WALNUTS. MIX WELL USING A SPATULA OR SPOON.
  10. TRANSFER THE MIXTURE INTO A NON-STICK ROUND CAKE WARE . PRESS WELL.
  11. COVER AND REFRIGERATE FOR ABOUT 30-60 MINUTES BEFORE PREPARING THE CHOCOLATE GANACHE.
  12. PLACE 1/2 CUP CREAM INTO A SAUCE PAN AND HEAT UNTIL JUST BEGINS TO BOIL.
  13. ADD 120G CHOPPED CHOCOLATE. STIR IT UNTIL SMOOTH.
  14. POUR GANACHE OVER THE CHOCOLATE BISCUIT CAKE
  15. TAP IT AND REFRIGERATE TO SET FOR ABOUT 3-4 HOURS BEFORE SERVING.DECORATE WITH TOASTED NUTS
