ABOUT Schezwan fried rice RECIPE

This spicy chinese dish is made with a mix of vegetables and rice and flavoured with superspicy schezwan sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Long grained rice-1 cup(uncooked)
  2. French beans-1/2 cup(finely chopped)
  3. Carrots-1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  4. Capsicum-1/4 cup(finely chopped)
  5. Spring onions-2(white and green part seperately chopped)
  6. Garlic-8 cloves
  7. Ginger-1 inch
  8. Dry red chillies-2
  9. Schezwan sauce-2 tbsp
  10. Salt
  11. Vinegar-2 tsp
  12. oil-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE A TBSP OF OIL IN A PAN.
  2. ADD 8 FINELY CHOPPED CLOVES OF GARLIC AND 1 INCH GINGER.
  3. ADD 2 DRY RED CHILLIES.SAUTE FOR A MINUTE.
  4. ADD 1/2 CUP FINELY CHOPPED BEANS,CARROTS,1/4 CUP CAPSICUM AND 2 SPRING ONION WHITES.
  5. SAUTE THE VEGETABLES AT HIGH FLAME FOR 4 TO 5 MINUTES.
  6. WHEN THE VEGETABLES TURN SLIGHTLY BROWN ADD 2 TBSP SCHEZWAN SAUCE.
  7. ADD SALT AND 2 TSP VINEGAR ALSO.MIX WELL.
  8. ADD THE COOKED RICE WHICH WE HAD COOKED 80% AND COOLED DOWN.
  9. JUST MIX EVERYTHING AND GARNISH WITH SPRING ONION GREENS .SERVE HOT.

Nice video. Could have avoided vinegar as schezwan sauce has vinegar :-)
