ABOUT Curd rice RECIPE

This is a famous curd rice recipe in Western Utter Pradesh. This is called maheri there. You can have it as it's hot or cool.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Water 4 cups
  3. Oil 3 tbsp
  4. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  8. Curd 1/2cup

Instructions

  1. ADD ASEFOTIDIA, CUMIN AND TURMERIC POWDER IN PRE-HEATED OIL.
  2. ADD RED CHILLI POWDER
  3. ADD CORIENDER POWDER
  4. ADD SOAKED RICE.
  5. ADD WATER.
  6. ADD SALT.
  7. CLOSE THE LID AND TAKE 3 WHISTLES.
  8. OPEN THE LID.
  9. RICE SHOULD BE A LITTLE BIT MORE COOKED.
  10. TAKE SOUR CURD AND WHISK IT.
  11. ADD A LITTLE BIT WATER IN THAT WHISKED CURD AND POUR THIS CURD INTO THE RICE COOKER. COOK IT.
