Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Inner portion of ash gourd (tirulu) 1 cup
  2. Grated coconut 1 cup
  3. Red chilli 1
  4. Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  5. Cooking oil 2 tsp
  6. Urad dal 1 tsp
  7. Curry leaves few
  8. Tamarind 1/4 gooseberry sized
  9. Salt to taste
  10. For seasoning... 1 tsp cooking oil
  11. Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE LEFTOVER INNER PORTION (TIRULU) OF ASH GOURD, REMOVE THE SEEDS
  2. HEAT OIL AND FRY URAD DAL
  3. ADD RED CHILLI AND TURMERIC POWDER
  4. ADD INNER PORTION OF ASH GOURD AND FRY TILL TENDER
  5. ADD A PINCH OF JEERA POWDER, 1/4 GOOSEBERRY SIZED TAMARIND AND COCONUT
  6. FRY FOR FEW SECONDS
  7. GRIND FINELY BY ADDING SOME WATER AND SALT
  8. IN THE SAME PAN ADD OIL AND ADD MUSTARD SEEDS FOR SEASONING
  9. POUR CHUTNEY INTO IT, MIX AND SERVE
