Now a days Amrud(guava) is in season, so here is something new which now a days added to celebrations in a party menu. A dish with sweet and tarting flavour, famous cuisine of Allahabad, must try.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Amrud 3 sliced half moon(guava) discard the seeds
  2. Oil 1 karchi
  3. Tomatoes 2 big roughly chopped(make puree)
  4. Green chillies 2-3 roughly chopped(Make puree)
  5. Ginger 1 tukra roughly chopped(Make puree)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Sugar 1/2teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder (haldi) 1/4teaspoon
  9. Cumin seeds (jeera) 1/4teaspoon
  10. Hing a pinch
  11. Dhaniya powder 1/4teaspoon
  12. Garam masala powder 1/4teaspoon
  13. Red chillie powder 1/2teaspoon
  14. Water 1/2 cup
  15. Hung curd 1/4 cup
  16. Coriander leaves chopped few required for garnishing also

Instructions

  1. INGREDIENTS USED
  2. SLICE GUAVA THIS WAY HALF MOON SHAPED AND ROUGHLY CHOP TOMATOES, GINGER AND GREEN CHILLIES
  3. DISCARD THE GUAVA SEEDS, DO NOT USE, THROW AWAY
  4. MAKE PUREE OF TOMATO,GINGER AND GREEN CHILLIES ALL TOGETHER, ADD LITTLE WATER
  5. USING BLENDER, BLEND WELL
  6. THIS WAY PUREE WILL BE READY, TAKE OUT IN A BOWL
  7. TAKE A NON STOCK PAN, ADD OIL
  8. ADD HING, JEERA, HALDI
  9. ADD THE FRESH TOMATO PUREE PASTE TO IT
  10. WHEN OIL COMES OUT, ADD CURD TO IT, MIX NICELY
  11. ADD SLICED GUAVA'S, AGAIN MIX WELL
  12. ADD WATER AND COOK ON SIM FLAME
  13. ADD DHANIYA POWDER, GARAM MASALA POWDER AND RED CHILLIE POWDER
  14. ADD SALT AND SUGAR , MIX PROPERLY NOW
  15. COOK ON SIM FLAME FOR 5-6 MINUTES
  16. OIL IS SEEN THIS TIME, NOW ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES TO IT
  17. COOK FOR FEW MINUTES MORE, A NICE AROMA WILL COME THIS TIME
  18. FINALLY OIL WILL COME OUT THIS WAY AND THE DISH IS READY
  19. TAKE OUT IN A SERVING DISH
  20. SERVE HOT GARNISHED WITH CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
