ABOUT Chinese Style Idlis RECIPE

These are semolina idlies loaded with veges , these can be served in breakfast or dinner , I have made them in chinese style , this recipe is loved by my family friends this is very healthy recipe; you can say its one pot meal , these can be made with regular idli batter also , so come lets enjoy making this recipe

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. semolina 2 cups
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Green chilies 2 crushed
  5. Eno sachet 1
  6. bell peppers ( green, red and yellow) - 1 cup thinly sliced
  7. Onion 1 chopped
  8. 5 Tomatoes
  9. Garlic finely chopped 1 tsp
  10. Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  11. Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  12. Vinegar 1 tbsp
  13. Red chilly sauce 1 tsp
  14. Regular sauce 1 tbsp
  15. Butter 2 tbsp
  16. Cabbage 1/2 cup , shredded
  17. 3 tbsp spring onion chopped

Instructions

  1. ADD CURD IN A BOWL
  2. ADD SEMOLINA, MIX WELL
  3. ADD SALT AND ENO, WHISK WELL
  4. ADD BATTER TO GREASED IDLI MOLD
  5. STEAM IDLIS FOR 15 MINUTES UNTIL DONE
  6. MAKE SQUARE CUT OVER TOMATOES AND ADD TO BOILING WATER
  7. REMOVE TOMATOES WHEN SKIN SEPARATES
  8. PEEL SKIN OF TOMATOES
  9. BLEND TOMATOES TO FORM SMOOTH PUREE
  10. HEAT BUTTER IN A PAN
  11. ADD GINGER GARLIC AND GREEN CHILI. SAUTE UNTIL RAW AROMA DISAPPAEARS
  12. ADD PUREE AND MIX WELL, COOK FOR 4-5 MINUTES
  13. HEAT BUTTER IN A SEPARATE PAN. ADD CABBAGE AND ONIONS. SAUTE UNTIL ONIONS ARE TRANSLUCENT
  14. ADD BELL PEPPERS AND STIR FOR 3-4 MINUTES
  15. ADD SOY SAUCE, TOMATO SAUCE AND RED CHILI SAUCE.
  16. ADD VINEGAR AND MIX WELL
  17. ADD PUREE AND COOK FOR 5 MINUTES
  18. ADD STEAMED IDLIS AND MIX PROPERLY
  19. SERVE WARM
