ABOUT Sweet Potato Jamun RECIPE

Sweet potatoes are made as prasadam for sivarathri pooja in tamil nadu. My mom prepares sweet potato halwa without Badam powder on sivarathri pooja. To make it healthy i have added badam powder and less jaggery.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sweet Potatoes 250 grams
  2. Badam as required
  3. Jaggery 2 tablespoon
  4. Cardamon powder
  5. Ghee 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook peeled sweet potatoes for 3 whistles
  2. Completely drain water. Mash sweet potatoes
  3. Add badam in blender. Make a fine powder
  4. Mix badam powder and sweet potatoes
  5. Boil little water. Add jaggery powder
  6. When jaggery syrup starts boiling add the mix
  7. Add ghee and cardamon powder
  8. Cool the mixture and make jamuns
  9. Sweet potatoes jamuns are ready
