Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Coconut powder 1 cup
  2. Oil 1/4 cup
  3. Prawns medium 1/4 kg
  4. Dried red chillies 4
  5. Corn flour 1 tablespoon
  6. White sesame seeds 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Dry roast 1 cup coconut powder in low heat until golden brown .
  2. In a bowl , take 1/4 kg medium prawns . Add 1 tablespoon corn flour ,
  3. 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds , salt. Mix and coat prawns in flour . Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan .
  5. Drop the corn flour coated prawns and fry both sides till golden brown .
  6. Switch off .
  7. In another pan , melt 1 cube unsalted butter .
  8. Add 2 tablespoons minced garlic .
  9. Add 1 big onion finely grated .
  10. Add curry leaves a sprig , 4 broken dried red chillies . Sauté all .
  11. Add required salt .
  12. Sauté all until onions turn translucent.
  13. Add 1 tablespoon soya sauce .
  14. Add 1 tablespoon red hot sauce .
  15. Add the fried prawns along with the oil used for frying .
  16. Add the dry roasted coconut powder .
  17. Mix all together . Finally add 1/4 cup corn starch with extra Sesame seeds for flavor .
  18. Mix all and roast for 5 minutes till dry .
  19. Korean Udang Mentega is ready .
  20. Serve hot .
