Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Whole wheat flour 1 cup equals 200 ml cup
  2. Fresh yogurt 1/2 cup
  3. Salt a big pinch
  4. Ghee 1 tablespoon
  5. For the Filling :
  6. Raw banana large 1
  7. Salt as required
  8. Garlic cloves 4 crushed
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Green chillies finely chopped 1 teaspoon ( optional for kids)
  12. Cilantros chopped 1 tablespoon
  13. Other Ingredients:
  14. Ghee 3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup ( 200 ml ) whole wheat flour in a wide bowl.
  2. Add a big pinch salt.
  3. Add 1/2 cup fresh yogurt .
  4. Knead all together into a smooth dough .
  5. Smear ghee on the dough . Cover the rest for 10 minutes .
  6. Meantime, boil 1 large raw banana .Peel the skin and mash the boiled raw banana
  7. In a bowl , take mashed raw banana , 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder , 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala .
  8. Add 4 crushed garlic .
  9. Add salt . Mash it all together . Add chopped cilantros 1 tablespoon.
  10. Divide the dough to equal medium sized balls . Take a ball , flatten it up and stuff 1 to 1.5
  11. teaspoon raw banana filling . Seal it up to a ball and start filling into medium thick parathas.
  12. Place the paratha on a hot griddle . When the lower side gives brown spots ,
  13. Flip to another side . Spread 1 teaspoon ghee throughout .
  14. Flip ,cook both sides till golden brown spots appear . Smear ghee. Repeat steps on other parathas.
  15. Raw banana stuffed parathas are ready to serve . Serve hot with yogurt / raita / pickle .
