ABOUT Homestyle chicken curry RECIPE

This is an extreme comfort chicken curry which goes well with hot steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 1/2 kg
  2. Onions 1/2 kg sliced
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  4. Red chillies 3
  5. Curry leaves few
  6. Cloves 3 to 4
  7. Cumin 1 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  9. Oil 3 tbsp
  10. Water 3 cups
  11. Garam masala powder 2 tbsp
  12. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  13. Turmeric 1 tsp
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. ADD 3 TBSPS OIL TO A PRESSURE PAN FOLLOWED BY 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS 1 TSP CUMIN 3 TO 4 CLOVES
  2. FEW CURRY LEAVES AND BROKEN RED CHILLIES
  3. ADD 1/2 KG SLICED ONIONS
  4. SAUTE
  5. ADD A TBSP OF GINGER GARLIC PASTE SAUTE TILL RAW SMELL GOES AWAY
  6. ADD 1/2 KG CHICKEN
  7. ADD SPICE POWDERS: 2 TBSP HOME MADE GARAM MASALA POWDER 2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  8. 1/2 TSP TURMERIC
  9. SALT TO TASTE
  10. STIR FRY TILL DRIES UP
  11. ADD 2 TO 3 CUPS OF WATER COVER AND PRESSURE COOK FOR 1 WHISTLE
  12. LET THE PRESSURE RELEASE ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER SWITCH OFF THE FLAME
  13. SERVE WITH HOT STEAMED RICE
