ABOUT Fruit custard pudding RECIPE

A delicious pudding with a crumble topped with fruits mixed in home made custard, custard being made in traditional style with eggs and milk.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the custard :
  2. Milk - 2.75 cup
  3. sugar - 1 cup
  4. Egg yolks - 2
  5. Egg -1
  6. Vanilla extract - 1.5 tsp
  7. Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  8. Other Ingredients :
  9. Grapes - 1 cup
  10. Banana - 1
  11. Apple - 1
  12. Strawberries - 4
  13. Digestive biscuits - 10

Instructions

  1. Whisk the egg, egg yolks & sugar till a pasty consistency is obtained. Add the vanilla extract and whisk again.
  2. Heat the milk, till it is about to boil. Slowly add this hot milk to the yolk mixture slowly while whisking it.
  3. Put back the mixture into the saucepan onto heat, and stir while this cooks. Now mix the cornflour in some milk and add this slurry to the cooking custard mix. When a thick consistency is obtained, remove it from it.
  4. Now transfer this into another bowl, and whisk in an ice bath so that the mixture doesn't curdle.
  5. Chill the custard in the refrigerator for couple of hours.
  6. To assemble the pudding, Crush the biscuits and scoop them into the glasses.
  7. Chop the fruits and mix them into the custard. Pour this mix into the glasses. Serve.
