ABOUT Urad - Banana dosa RECIPE

Banana dosa is so tasty and healthy breakfast. So many varieties of banana dosas are there, here it is ground with urad dal and fermented.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup dosa rice
  2. 1/4 cup urad dal
  3. Peeled and chopped small raw bananas 3
  4. Water
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Cooking oil 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice and urad dal for 4-5 hours.
  2. Grind smoothly by adding some water, salt to taste, chopped raw bananas.
  3. Transfer the batter, add sufficient water, cover and allow it to fermentation overnight.
  4. Check the fermentation, heat tava.
  5. Pour laddle full of batter and spread thinly, cover and cook for 3 minutes in medium flame.
  6. Open the lid and sprinkle some oil, flip and cook for a minute.
  7. Remove and serve with chutney or palyam.
