Ingredients Serving: 4
100 gms boneless chicken pieces cut in 1 inch cubes
1 cup chicken stock
1 tsp finely grated orange zest
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp siracha sauce
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
dried ginger 1/4 tsp
soy sauce 2 tbsp
sugar 2/3 cup
cornflour 1/4 cup
2 eggs
crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
2 tablespoons grated onion
oil for frying
spring onion
sesame seeds for garnish
salt
Instructions
in a pan combine chicken stock,orange zest,orange juice,sugar,soy sauce,vinegar,ginger,onion,garlic,sriracha sauce,salt and pepper
whisk the mixture well and then pour half of this mixture in the chicken and marinade for 30 mins
bring the remaining mixture to boil stirring frequently..
add two tsp cornflour with half cup of water and mix it with the sauce...
reduce the heat and cook for 1-2 min stirring constantly until thickened...remove from heat
pour oil for frying in a pan
whisk the eggs
now take out the chicken discarding the marinated liquid
take one piece of chicken at a time,dip it into the egg and roll in cornflour...similarly do all the Chicken pieces
now deep fry the chicken pieces till golden brown...
take out in an absorbent paper
now put these chicken pieces into the sauce and again cook it for 1-2 mins until the chicken pieces are well coated with sauce
garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds
serve hot
