ABOUT Bengali style pan seared fish RECIPE

Its a typical fish preparation made with bengali style marination.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Pompano fish - 1pc
  2. yellow mustard paste- 2-3 tablespoons
  3. mustard oil - 2-3 teaspoons
  4. carom seeds- 1/2 spoon
  5. onion seeds-1/2 spoon
  6. ginger garlic paste-1teaspoon
  7. red chilly powder
  8. turmeric
  9. black pepper crushed
  10. lemon juice-1teaspoon
  11. black salt
  12. table salt
  13. pinch of sugar

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish and make few cuts on both the sides
  2. Mix all the marinate ingredients together.
  3. Now cover the fish with the marinate.
  4. Cover the bowl and keep it in fridge for 1hr.
  5. Put some mustard oil in a pan and heat it.Put fish in the pan and sear it nicely from both the sides till its cooked.
  6. Serve it with some fresh green salad.
