ABOUT Goli baje. RECIPE

Mangalorian bajji or bonda. A south indian delicacy served with chutney for evening tea or coffee. A very popular snack.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Rice flour 1tbsp
  3. Curd 1 cup
  4. Onion 1 small if big 1/2, finely chopped
  5. Green chillies paste 1 tsp
  6. Ginger finely 1tsp chopped
  7. Coconut pieces 1 tsp.chopped
  8. Coriander leaves 2 tsp finely chopped
  9. Curry leaves 1 tsp
  10. Hing 2 pinch
  11. Salt
  12. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Oil to deep fry
  14. For chutney
  15. Coconut 1/2 cup
  16. Small Onion 3
  17. Green chillies 2
  18. Tamarind 1 /2 tsp
  19. Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients given except oil. Knead the dough for sometime, to make it fluffy.
  2. Cover & Keep aside for 3 hrs.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Take lemon size balls from dough & deep fry in oil.
  4. Grind all ingredients given for chutney.
  5. Serve hot the goli bajje with chutney
