Mandi mutton rice is a traditional meat and rice dish from the Middle East and is fondly eaten all over the Arabian Peninsula. The word Mandi comes from the Arabic word, nada, it means dew and reflects the dewy flavor of the meat used in preparing the dish.
In a pot, add and marinate the mutton, salt, Mandi Masala, turmeric, vegetable Oil(2tbsp) Keep in the refrigerator for atleast 30 minutes soak rice in water for 30 mins and strain out the rice and keep aside
In a cooking pot, add Oil, onion, cumin, hot spices, salt, green chili and fry it until light brown
Now add, garlic chopped, marinated mutton, red chili powder, ginger powder (sonth), coriander powder, cumin powder and cook it for 5 minutes And add tomoto puree and let it cook
Now add, hot water in it and steam for 30-40 minutes on low flame.
After steam let the mutton out and add rice in the pot and cook for a while.
Afterward, add mutton on the surface of rice and steam.
- In the end place a foil paper in the middle of rice with ember and butter, coriander leaves, mint leaves and cover it for a while.
Now garnish with chopped almonds and now your tasty Mutton Mandi dish is ready to serve
