Kewa Datshi is one of the famous dish in Bhutanese cuisine. “Kewa” means “potato” and “Datshi” means “cheese”. I learnt this dish from a localite when I visited Bhutan. It is very easy to make and tasty as well.
Make thin slices of potatoes.
- Make cuts in the chillies.
- Boil potatoes, tomato, sliced onion and chillies in sufficient amount of water
- Once the potatoes are cooked add processed cheese. Boil till it melts.
Do a taste test. Add salt if required. ( You may not need to add salt as cheese already has some amount of salt)
- Tada! Your Kewa Datshi is ready!
