ABOUT Mango-Vanilla Custard Verrines with Nuts & Dark Chocolate RECIPE

Ever since I saw this recipe here, I knew that I am gonna give it a shot when it rains mangoes. Yes, I was waiting for the Mango season to arrive to prepare this layered delightful dessert. I am totally in love with this recipe for obvious reasons of its distinct layers and perfect alternate combination of light and dark shades which is truly an eye delight.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk - 1 cup
  2. Custard Powder - 1 tbsp
  3. Sug -2 tbsp (adjust based on the sweetness of your mangoes)
  4. Mango Pulp - 1/2 cup (Undiluted)
  5. Nuts - 3 tbsps chopped (pistachios almonds)
  6. Dark Chocolate - 2 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Boil ¾ cup of milk and to the remaining ¼ cup add custard powder and combine well to avoid lumps.
  2. Slowly by stirring continuously add this custard powder mixture to boiling milk. Stir till this mixture turns thick.
  3. In double boiler or in microwave melt dark chocolate and set aside.
  4. Take short glasses and start to layer. First to go is custard layer. Top it with mango pulp and on it goes chopped nuts layer. Repeat until you reach rim of the glasses.
  5. Garnish with nuts and melted dark chocolate. Refrigerate for an hour or until set. Serve chilled.
