ABOUT Soya 65 RECIPE

Soya is a rich source of protein , and the best alternative of meat in terms of taste and nutrition as well. Soya contains iron and calcium too which are vital for kids’ growth . Soya Chunks / Meal maker is usually added in biryanis . This Soya 65 tastes as such as chicken 65 . A delicious healthy snack for tea time

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya chunks 20 -30
  2. Water 4 large glasses
  3. Yogurt 3 tablespoons
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Garam Masala 1 teaspoon
  8. Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. Soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a wide container , boil 4 large glasses of water . At the boiling time, add the soya chunks and switch off the flame . Needn’t boil soya chunks .
  2. Let the soya chunks immerse in the hot water . Let it rest for 30 minutes till the soya chunks double the size by turning soft .
  3. After 30 minutes , squeeze out the soya chunks completely . You get see some soapy fluid released from the soya chunks . After squeezing out the entire fluid , wash the Soya chunks under running water .
  4. Drain the Soya chunks completely and transfer the chunks to a wide mixer bowl .
  5. In a mixer bowl , add yogurt , salt , dry powders , ginger garlic paste , soy sauce , black pepper powder and marinate the soya chunks for about 15 minutes .
  6. Refrigerate the marinated soya chunks for fifteen minutes for better masala absorption.
  7. After 15 minutes , heat oil in a wok for dry frying / shallow frying . Both the methods give yummy soya 65s. I prefer shallow frying mostly .
  8. Fry these soya 65 till it turns delicious brown . Do fry under medium flame for even frying .
  9. Serve hot .
