ABOUT khubani ka meetha RECIPE

khubani or apricots is one of my favourite dried fruits. I like the dried form better than the fresh ones but had to finish my pantry store of the pack, so made the tasty meetha from them .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 25 dried apricots
  2. 2 tbsp Sugar
  3. Water, as required

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the dried apricots overnight.
  2. Drain the apricots and keep the water aside for further use.
  3. Deseed the apricots and mash them roughly.
  4. Break the seeds and take out the mini almonds.
  5. Take the drained water in a pan and add the mashed apricots.
  6. Cover and cook the apricots for 12-15 mins on low flame with occasional stirring in between.
  7. Add sugar and then cook again till the sugar melts.
  8. Switch off the gas and cool and serve.
