ABOUT Hare Bondi Ke Laddo RECIPE

This Holi I don’t have any mood of making the regular sweets. So tried these Hare Bondi Ke Laddo and it’s a big hit here at home and neighbours, family and friends. It’s the normal Bondi Laddo with a new look like the old songs with remix. These laddoos are green in colour as I have added roasted pistachios in it instead of cashews and raisins.

Ingredients Serving: 10

gram flour 300 grams
1.5 cup of sugar
1/2 liter oil for deep frying
water 1.2 cup
2 drops of pistachios food colour
1/2 cup of roasted pistachios
1/3 tablespoon of cardamom powder
1/2 tablespoon of ghee

Instructions

Make a batter with gram flour, water, soda. Not a thick batter nor a water one.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the Bondis with the help of a ladle which is full of holes, used for frying only.
I have made few normal Bondis first for colour then added the pistachios green food colour and made the rest of the Bondis with the batter
Give a roughly grind for a second to the Bondis. Add crushed pistachios in it.
Now make sugar syrup with the sugar, water and cardamom powder till 2 stings are formed.
Add half cup of sugar syrup to the Bondi mixture and mix well.
Now grease hand with ghee and start making round small ball size Laddoos by pressing them tight close fingers
Continue like this for rest of the Bondis and serve
