ABOUT Masala tofu and green chickpeas gravy RECIPE

It is very tasty and healthy version of curry. Tofu is rich in protein and low in cholesterol. Green chickpeas are rich source of vitamin and mineral. Serve it with chapati or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green chickpeas 200 gm
  2. Tofu 150 gm
  3. Onion paste 1 cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste 4 tablespoon
  5. Tomato puree 2 cup
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cloves 4
  8. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  9. Green caradamom 2
  10. Asfetoida 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Red chili powder 2 teaspoon
  12. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  13. Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoon
  14. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Kitchen king masala 1 teaspoon
  16. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  17. Kasoori methi 1 teaspoon
  18. Cashew paste 2 tablespoon
  19. Oil 3 tablespoon
  20. Butter 3 tablespoon
  21. Water 3 cup
  22. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Add butter to a pan when it is hot add chopped tofu to it and fry from both sides. Remove it on a kitchen towel.
  2. Now in this add green chickpeas and fry for 5 minutes and stir constantly. Remove in a bowl.
  3. Now add oil in pressure cooker add asfetoida and cumin seeds, green caradamom and cloves. Add onion , ginger and garlic paste. Saute it till oil seprates.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook till oil seprates. Add tomato ketchup mix well.
  5. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and saute for 2 minutes. Add sugar, turmeric powder and kitchen king masala and salt . mix well. Add little water and mix green chickpeas and tofu.
  6. Saute it for 5 minutes. Add water and close lid.
  7. Pressure cook for 4 whistles . After whistles let it cool down. Open lid add coriander leaves and kasoori methi. Serve with chapati or rice.
