ABOUT Soyabean Kosha RECIPE

Soyabeans or mealmaker are very nutritious with lots of protein in it. Normally soyabeans are not liked by anyone but when I make this recipe with soyabeans then it is liked by my family. I make this recipe like we make mutton kosha. Healthy, Tasty and a comfort food in a meal for all.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups of soyabean soaked
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 1 onion paste
  4. 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  5. 1/2 tablespoon of red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tablespoon of cumin coriander powder
  7. 1/2 tablespoon of garam masala powder
  8. 2 tablespoon of mustard oil
  9. 1 bay leaf
  10. salt to taste
  11. turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon
  12. 1 tablespoon of ghee
  13. 2 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves
  14. 1 tomato chopped
  15. 3-4 tablespoon of cooking oil
  16. 1 potato cut into cubes
  17. 1/2 tsp of jeera seeds
  18. 2 cardamom
  19. 1 stick of cinnamon
  20. 1 big cardamom
  21. 3 cloves

Instructions

  1. Marinate Soyabeans with all the ingredients except coriander leaves, Ghee, jeera seeds, cinnamon , cardamom, cloves and cooking oil. Keep the marinate for 15 -20 minutes.
  2. In a kadai heat the cooking oil and temper some whole garam masala ( cinnamon, cardamom, jeera, cloves, pepper)
  3. Add the marinated soyabeans in it and sauté till the oil separates from the masalas.
  4. Add 2 cups of water and boil till all the vegetables are cooked and become a gravy
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and ghee
