Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Rice 1 bowl
  2. Split urad pulses 1/2 cup
  3. Curd 1/2 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  6. Cumin seeds powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Bsking powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Oil 3 teaspoon
  9. 1 teaspoon sugar
  10. Spinach puree 1/4 cup
  11. Carrot puree 1/4 cup
  12. 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice and pulse together for 6 hours. Grind it.
  2. Mix curd into the mixture. Keep aside and let ferment for 3 hours.
  3. Now add salt and baking powder
  4. Divide into 3 portions. In 1 portion mix the spinach puree and in the 2nd portion mix the carrot puree.
  5. Grease the dhokla stand and pour the mixture into it. Seem for 10 minutes.
  6. Heat the oil. Add 2 splitted green chillies, water, sugar and lemon juice.
  7. Add this water to the steamed dhokla.
  8. Serve with chutney and tomato sauce.
