ABOUT Nagauri halwa RECIPE

This is a typical North indian traditional dish, which is made during festivities.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sooji 250 gm for nagauri
  2. Salt
  3. 5 to 6 boiled potatoes
  4. 2 dry red chilli
  5. Kasuri methi
  6. Methi daana 1tspn
  7. Red chilli powder
  8. Dhania powder
  9. 1tspn haldi
  10. 1tspn jeera
  11. 1tspn hing
  12. 1tspn garm masala
  13. Corriander leaves
  14. 5 tomatoes puree
  15. 2 laung
  16. 1tblspn saunf

Instructions

  1. For nagauri, take sooji.
  2. Add salt and little oil in it.
  3. Now knead it with luke warm water.
  4. Keep the dough aside for 10 minutes.
  5. Now take a wok for aloo subzi.
  6. Heat the oil n it.
  7. Now add hing, jeera and dry chilli in it.
  8. When it starts splittering pour the puree in it.
  9. Add garam masala, haldi, salt, redchilli powder, saunf, dhania powder and saunf in it
  10. Add methi daana and kasuri methi also.
  11. Mash the potatoes
  12. Put all the mash potatoes in it..
  13. Add 1 1/2 half glass of water in it.
  14. When it starts boiling..simmer the flame.
  15. After 15 minutes it ready to serve.
  16. Garnish it with corriander leaves.
  17. Now take another wok for frying.
  18. Take the dough
  19. Make very small balls of it.
  20. Now make small small gol gappas.
  21. Fry it
  22. I am not giving the recipe of halwa as it is very common.
  23. Now its time for plating.
  24. Make a whole in the nagauri.
  25. Put thick aloo subzi or halwa in it.
  26. Gasp it..
  27. You all will like it.
