ABOUT Fresh Green Garlic and Spinach Bajra Rotla.( With cucumber raita and green chutney ) RECIPE

A combination of Winter special Bajra flour and Leafy vegetables like Spinach and Fresh Green Garlic ( Lilu Lasan) when served together it gives you An Innovative Healthy recepie. I always Imagine , Visualize and smell the combinations and try to make Innovative Tasty Recipes. And believe me this" Rotla" is so tasty that you just don't need any Vege with it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Bajra flour 2 cups
  2. Spinach leaves ( 15 to 20 big)
  3. Fresh garlic ( green) chopped 1/2 cup.
  4. Ajwain 1 tsp
  5. Sesame seeds roasted 1 tbsp
  6. Salt 1/2 to 1 tsp ( to taste)
  7. Clarified butter ( ghee) 1/4 cup.
  8. For accompaniment
  9. Butter 2 to 3 tbsp
  10. Coriander Pudina chutney
  11. Jaggery 1 bowl
  12. Cucumber raita. ( Optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Spinach and fresh green garlic with minimum amount of water needed.
  2. Grind Ajwain and Sesame seeds.
  3. Take Bajra flour. Add salt.
  4. Add Ajwain Sesame seeds mix.
  5. Add 2 tbsp ghee. Mix everything together.
  6. Now add blended Spinach and fresh green garlic and make a dough.
  7. Heat a non-stick griddle / earthen tawa.
  8. Take some water in a small bowl and make a Rotla by kneading flour gently.
  9. You can take a thick plastic sheet and make a " Rotla".
  10. Roast it on a high to medium flame.
  11. Turn when first side is half Cooked
  12. When other side is cooked roast directly on the flame.
  13. And here is your Innovative Garlic and Spinach Rotla.
  14. Apply ghee on it. Make all "Rotlas ".
  15. Serve it with Cucumber raita, Butter, Jaggery and Green chutney.
  16. You also can serve with any Vege of your choice and buttermilk.
