Arrowroot is low in calorie , but rich in vitamins & minerals. It s a best food for infants. It aids digestion, a great herbal remedy for skin probs, these are some of the health benefits of arrowroot. This powder can be used as a thickening agent in soups & gravies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. arrowroot 2 heaped tbsp
  2. Water 2 cups
  3. jaggery 2 tbsp. ( or as u like)
  4. grated coconut 2 tbsp.
  5. cardamom powder a pinch.
  6. fried cashew nuts & kismis 1 tbsp each.
  7. Salt

Instructions

  1. boil water .add jaggery. boil till jaggery melts.
  2. mix arrowroot powder in 1/ 2 cup of cold water.
  3. slowly add it to the boiling jaggery mixture. it will start thickening soon.
  4. keep stirring. add coconut & salt.
  5. cook for another 4, 5 min.
  6. add fried nuts & kismis. mix well.
  7. it will thicken when cold.
  8. serve it hot or cold.
