ABOUT Banana Grapes Pudding RECIPE

Quick, healthy and fruity sheera or pudding is a best option for morning breakfast. Sheera is a common Maharashtrian breakfast which is prepared using variety of seasonal fruits. In this recipe I have used grapes, bananas and cream which has given sheera a rich taste.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Semolina – ½ cup
  2. Sugar – 2-3 tbsp
  3. Ripe elaychi bananas – 3
  4. White grapes – 5-6 (can use black as well). Sliced
  5. Almonds – 3-4 Coarsely chopped
  6. Cashew nuts – 3-4 Coarsely chopped
  7. Ghee – 2-3 tbsp
  8. Cream – ½ cup
  9. Milk – 3/4 cup
  10. Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
  11. Nutmeg powder – ¼ tsp
  12. Warm water if required
  13. Kesar strands – 8-9

Instructions

  1. Heat pan and add ghee. Add semolina or sooji. Roast on low flame till it gets golden brown colour. It will take 8-10 minutes.
  2. Add sliced, mashed bananas and mix well.
  3. Add crushed cashew nuts, almonds. Mix well.
  4. Add cardamom, nutmeg powder, sugar, kesar strands. Stir.
  5. Add milk and cream mix until mixture well combined.
  6. Cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Add warm water if required.
  7. Take a muffin mold. Add prepared sheera and press well.
  8. Keep for 1 minute and then de-mold it.
  9. Garnish it with cashew nuts, grape cuts, kesar strands and chocolate syrup.
  10. Serve hot.
