ABOUT Fafda RECIPE

Fafda is basically a deep fried crispy snack which is served for breakfast or for evening snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan. 2cup
  2. Baking soda. 1/4 tsp
  3. Ajwain 1/4tsp
  4. Haldi 1/4 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Oil. 1Tbsp
  7. Salt. As per taste
  8. Water As required
  9. Oil to deep- fry

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix besan,soda,ajwain,haldi and salt .
  2. Now add 1Tbsp oil in the dry mixture.
  3. Add water and knead into a soft dough.
  4. Cover with moist cloth and rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Pinch a ball sized dough nad make a cylindrical shape.
  6. On a wooden board place the dough and stick one side.
  7. Press and stretch it with the help of palms in forward direction.
  8. Scrape off with the help of knife carefully.
  9. Now deep fry in hot oil on medium flame.
  10. Stir occasionally.
  11. Fry until they turn golden and crispy.
  12. Serve with green chutney.
