Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Idli rice 1 cup
  2. Poha 3 tsp
  3. Urad dal 1/2 cup
  4. Water as required
  5. Grated carrot 2
  6. Salt as required
  7. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1 tsp(optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and urad Dal for 6-7 hrs
  2. Grind it separately by using little amount of water
  3. Mix both batter.cover and let the batter ferment for 10 hours .after fermentation process is over, the idli batter will become double in size and rise.now it's ready to use.
  4. Now In pan heat little amount of oil,add mustard seeds, grated carrot (one), turmeric powder,chilli powder, salt.fry for 5 min.and add this mixture in idli batter.
  5. After greese the idli plate with oil.and pour the idli batter and add some grated carrot in top of the idli batter in idli plates.wait for 15 min.
  6. Masala carrot idli is ready to taste.
