ABOUT Spinach Semolina Appe RECIPE

Appe is a typical south Indian breakfast, and I have made them even more healthier by adding spinach to it. A great taste enhancer as well as good for health.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Semolina - 1 cup.
  2. Curd - 1/2 cup.
  3. Spinach puree - 3/4 cup.
  4. Green chilly - ginger paste - 1 tsp.
  5. Roasted peanut powder - 2 table spoon.
  6. Baking soda - 1/4 tsp.
  7. Salt - to taste.
  8. Oil - for greasing.

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add semolina and curd, mix well and keep for 15 mins.
  2. After that add spinach puree, salt, roasted peanut powder and green chilies- ginger paste.
  3. Now grease appe pan and heat it.
  4. Now baking soda in to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Now put in appe pan and cook.
  6. Covered for 6 mins on medium heat.
  7. Flip and cook more 4 mins. Now switch off when done.
  8. Serve with tomato sauce.
