ABOUT Khichu RECIPE

This best and simple breakfast...ready in no time and healthy too. Its made with rice flour or wheat flour. This is our dadi nani recipe and this has multiple uses too. We can make papad with this or just eat like that with peanut oil and methyo masalo it tastes yummmy...in gujarat side we call it has khichu.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice flour 1 cup
  2. Water 2 to 3 cups
  3. Adrak mirchi finely crushed 2 tablespoons [ginger and green chillies, together]
  4. Jeera [cumin seeds] 1 teaspoon
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Oil 2 tablespoons
  7. Kharo papdyo pinch [this is atypical gujrati masala]

Instructions

  1. Take big pan take 1 spoon oil , add in jeera and then adrak mirchi crushed and add water to it.
  2. And then add pinch of kharo papdyo and salt.
  3. Bring it to boil.
  4. Now slowly add flour and keep mixing it.
  5. Once it get thick add another spoon of oil and turn of the flame.
  6. Serve hot with peanut oil/ methyo masalo.
