Mathri is very famous snack in india. People buy it from grocery stores which sometimes not hygenic .So its better to make it at home which would be more hygenic. So now let's see the recipe

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  4. Black pepper
  5. Oil / Ghee 1/4 cup
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Firstly add all purpose flour, salt, ajwain, and oil in a bowl and mix them well until all purpose flour mixed with oil properly.
  2. When it is done then bind the mixture in your palm , if it is binding properly that means oil quantity is perfect
  3. Now gradually add water in it and prepare a tight dough. It will take only 100 ml of water which is less than 1/2 cup of water
  4. When dough is ready then take a small portion of mixture , make a ball and press it with your palm nicely then insert a black pepper in it properly. Prepare all mathri s like this
  5. Now heat oil in a wok . When oil is medium hot then put all mathris in the oil and cook it for 1 minute on medium flame.
  6. After 1 minute turn the flame low and cook them on low flame until it turns light brown colour which usually takes 15 minutes
  7. Now take it out on a tissue paper . Let it cool on room temperature . After cool down, store it in a air tight container and serve it with tea in evening or in breakfast:blush:
