This a popular traditional dish from Madurai. Easy to make and lovely to eat, this Dosa can easily be made for breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Minced Meat (Mutton) - 1/2 kg
  2. Veg oil - 2 Tablespoons
  3. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  4. Chopped onions -2
  5. Sliced green Chilly - 1 or 2
  6. Few curry leaves
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
  9. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Pepper powder -1 teaspoon
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds, onions, green chilli and curry leaves. Sauté.
  3. When the onions become transparent, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder and coriander powder. Mix well.
  4. Add minced meat and salt. Mix and cook for a minute.
  5. Add a little water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
  6. Cook again. Without a lid, the water will evaporate.
  7. Mutton curry is ready.
  8. Now heat the Dosa pan on a low flame.
  9. Make a thick dosa, like an uttapam.
  10. Add oil and spread the mutton curry evenly on the surface of the dosa.
  11. Close and cook for a minute.
  12. Flip, add oil and cook for another minute until it's done.
  13. Your Madurai kari dosa is ready to serve.
