ABOUT Jowar and Wheat Masala Chapatis.. RECIPE

A super duper hit breakfast of my family. It is not only healthy but also delicious. The masala chapatis are made on weekend mornings for a family reunion time where everyone has time for each other and these moments are very special because they strengthen our familial bond. A warm breakfast with a hot cup of tea and warmest feelings of togetherness with our loved ones is what makes this breakfast real awesome. Happy Family Time !!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  2. Jowar flour 1 cup (Sorghum flour)
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Oil 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  6. Kasoori Methi 1 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds crushed 1 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds crushed 1 tsp
  9. Water 3/4th cup

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl.
  2. Knead a smooth dough using water as required.
  3. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a iron griddle.
  5. Divide the dough into equal sized balls equal to a chapati.
  6. Roll them into round discs and roast on a hot griddle.
  7. Pour some oil on the sides as well as smear a little on the top.
  8. Cook until it puffs up and brown spots appear.
  9. Flip over and cook on the other side too.
  10. Serve hot with any sabzi of choice.
  11. I served them with french beans fry and tomato chutney.
