For idli
Sock the rice and urad daal overnight.
Afte socking wash them nicely,drain water and put in a mixer jaar.
Add socked poha,curd,salt and make a smooth paste.
Take out in vessel and cover it.
Now let the batter ferment for 6 to 7 hours.
After fermenting add soda and oil and mix well.
Now pour the batter in grease idli stand and steam for 15minuts or till its done.
For sambhar-
Wash the daal in running water.
Now put in pressure cooker Add Salt,turmaric powder, water and cook till 4 whistle.
Now heat oil in a wok add cumin seeds ,musterd seeds and splutter them.
Now add curry leaves and green chilly.
Now add sliced onion and saute them till light pink in colour..
Now Add chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes are soften.
Now add red chilly powder,salt Sambhar masala.
Now add cooked daal.
Now add tamarind pulp and mix well.
Now add water according to required consistency.
Now cook on slow flam for 5minuts.
SERVING: 4
