ABOUT Chocolate Cake with strawberry buttercream frosting RECIPE

A luscious eggless chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream icing a perfect dessert for christmas or new year celebration.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For chocolate cake: 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  3. 100 grams butter
  4. 250 grams sweetened condensed milk
  5. 1 tsp Baking powder
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. 1 tsp vinegar
  9. 1/4 cup warm milk
  10. For Strawberry buttercream frosting: 1/2 cup butter at room temperature
  11. 2 cup powdered sugar
  12. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  13. 1/4 cup strawberry sauce
  14. 2 tbsp cream
  15. Few fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. For Chocolate Cake: Grease a round baking cake tin of 9×9 inches diameter with oil and preheat the oven at 180 degrees celcius.
  2. In a bowl take butter which should be at room temperature.
  3. Add sweetened condensed milk to it and beat till it is light and fluffy. 
  4. In a bowl sift together all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and mix everything well.
  5. Next add vinegar, vanilla extract, milk and beat again to form a smooth lump free batter. 
  6. Do not overbeat the cake batter.
  7. Pour the cake batter in greased tin and tap the sides of the cake tin.
  8. Bake the chocolate cake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes. Do check the cake after 30 minutes as the temperature vary from oven to oven. 
  9. Once done check the cake with a toothpick. If it comes out clean the cake is perfectly baked.
  10. Let the cake cool down completely meanwhile prepare the strawberry buttercream frosting.
  11. For Frosting: In a bowl take butter which should be at room temperature.
  12. Add strawberry sauce, half cup of powdered sugar and beat on medium speed till well combined.
  13. Next add half cup of powdered sugar again and beat again.
  14. Add half cup of sugar everything and beat till well combined.
  15. At the time of adding last half cup of powdered sugar also add vanilla extract, cream and beat till its soft and smooth. The frosting is ready.
  16. Assembling of cake: Cut the cake in half, spread a layer of frosting over the cake and cover the frosting with fresh strawberries.
  17. Keep another layer of cake and cover the whole cake with the frosting or you can also decorate the cake with the help of pipping bag using any nozzel design of your choice.
  18. Cut the cake in slices and serve!
