ABOUT Pumpkin Peel Chutney RECIPE

My mom's recipe of chutney made out of peels of pumpkin instead of throwing them away.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Pumpkin peels of 1 pumpkin
  2. Garlic - 6 cloves
  3. Green chilli - 1
  4. Coriander - 7-8 strands
  5. Sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  7. Hing - 1/2 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  9. oil for sauteing
  10. Oil for vagar
  11. Salt and Sugar for taste

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the pumpkin peels.
  2. Saute the peels and garlic cloves for 5 mins.
  3. Grind the pumpkin peels, garlic, coriander, green chilli and sesame seeds together in the grinder. Keep it in a bowl.
  4. Make vagar ( tempering in oil) of mustard seeds, hing and turmeric.
  5. Add the vagar on the top of ground peel mixture.
  6. Mix it properly. Add some sugar and salt for taste.
  7. Your chutney is ready!
