ABOUT Shriphaa Keshar Halwa RECIPE

It's a famous halwa of gujarat,using my secret ingredient of fresh coconut instead of using dry dessicated, i made this.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups grated fresh coconut
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 3/4 cup milk
  4. 1/4 cup mawa (khoya)
  5. 1/2 teaspoon keshar,soaked in 1teaspoon of warm milk
  6. 1/2 teaspoon elachi powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoon saunf crushed
  8. Chopped almonds few for decorating

Instructions

  1. Take a wok add coconut,sugar and milk, mix well,cook for 15-20 minutes on medium flame
  2. Stir continuously
  3. Add the keshar milk mixture, mawa and elachi powder,mix well and cook on slow flame for 10-15 minutes atleast
  4. Cook on sim flame
  5. Take out the mixture in a borosil bowl
  6. Allow it to cool for atleast 5-10 minutes
  7. Garnish/Decorate with chopped almonds
