Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Hot plain milk 1/2 cup
  2. sugar 1 cup
  3. Ghee 5-6 tbn
  4. All purpose flour 2 cups
  5. Tooti-Frooti 2 tbn
  6. Desiccated coconut 4 tbn
  7. Semolina/rava 3/4 cup
  8. Elaichi /Green Cardamom powdered 1 tsn
  9. Enough oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, sugar and ghee in a bowl/Mug and whisk well until sugar is completely dissolved in hot milk(hot milk will help in the process)
  2. In another bowl, combine flour,coconut,cardamom, tooti-frooti and mix well
  3. Add milk mix gradually bit by bit to bind into a thick batter
  4. After which, start kneading the into a stiff dough
  5. Rest the dough airtight covered for 1 hour
  6. Scoop our portion of dough and roll out into round shape(slightly thick)
  7. Cut out in desired shapes using knives or cookie cutters and rest aside
  8. Heat oil for deep frying and fry the cookies till both sides are slightly brown and crisp(don’t over fry)
  9. Rest in kitchen tissues to drain away excess oil from the fried cookies
  10. Store in airtight box
  11. Leftover cookies can be consumed over a month
