This is a tangy and delicious non fried version of dahi vadas, made with bread.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 slices white bread.
  2. 2tsp chopped ginger
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. 10 kishmish [raisins]
  5. 1cup milk
  6. 1 cup curd
  7. Salt
  8. 1/4tsp red chilly powder
  9. 1/4tsp bhuna jeera [roasted cumin seeds]
  10. 1tsp red chutney
  11. 1tsp green chutney
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. Sev for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix the ginger, green chilli and the raisins.
  2. Soak the bread slice in milk just for seconds
  3. Fill the ginger filing into the soaked bread and make them shape like vadas.
  4. Arrange the balls in the platter.
  5. Whisk the curd and pour them onto the balls.
  6. Sprinkle salt, red chilly powder on it.
  7. Pour both the chutneys.
  8. Sprinkle coriander leaves and sev.
  9. Serve instantly.
