Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Masoor dal 1 cup
  2. Water as required
  3. Desi ghee 2-3tablespoon
  4. Jeera seeds 1/2teaspoon
  5. Dalchini stick 1 small stick
  6. Laung 2-3
  7. Hari Elachi 2-3
  8. Kashmiri dry red chillie 2-3
  9. Tez patta 1 big
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Red chillie powder 1/2teaspoon
  12. Turmeric powder 1/2teaspoon
  13. Garam masala powder 1/4teaspoon
  14. Coriander powder 1/4teaspoon
  15. Onion 1 Big Sliced
  16. Green chillies chopped 2-3
  17. Ginger julliens 1 tablespoon 1tablespoon
  18. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Ingredients used
  2. Place cooker on flame, take desi ghee
  3. Put ghee inside the cooker, heat well
  4. Take all khade masale together in a bowl/katori (jeera,dry red kashmiri mirch,tez patta,laung,hari elachi and dalchini)
  5. Add this in cooker
  6. Mix well this way
  7. Take sliced onions, chopped green chillies and ginger julliens all together in a bowl
  8. Add this in cooker
  9. Take a small bowl/katori add all dry spices along with the salt
  10. Put inside and mix well
  11. Take masoor dal
  12. Put inside the cooker
  13. Take a glass of water
  14. Add enough water in which dal is dipped (no extra water needed, as making the dish in dry sabzi form)
  15. See the texture this time and the level of water to be used
  16. Close the lid of cooker for few seconds
  17. Just a steam will come, no need to give whistle, plz be careful this time
  18. Open the lid carefully when the steam is out, the texture of dal seems like this
  19. Take out in a serving dish, garnished with coriander leaves, serve hot
