ABOUT KHEER ALACH ER CHOP WITH STRAWBERRY SAUCE RECIPE

ALACH means green cardamom ..... green cardamom flavour kheer stuffed chop , lightly tossed in sugar syrup is a wonderful way to make any occasion special .

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Flour - 200 gm
  2. Baking soda - 1teaspoon
  3. Sugar - 1 cup
  4. Bread - 2 pieces
  5. Green cardamom powder - 1teaspoon
  6. Khoya / mawa - 100 gm
  7. Ghee - 1 cup
  8. A pinch of salt
  9. Dry fruits - 3 tablespoons roasted

Instructions

  1. Heat a non stick pan to medium heat add greated mawa , 1tablespoons sugar and mix well .
  2. Stir continuously , when sugar is melted add dry fruits and mix well then add cardamom powder mix well and switch off the flame . Keep aside .
  3. In a large bowl add flour , pinch of salt , baking soda and 1tablespoons melted ghee and required water to make a smooth dough and cover the dough for 10 minutes .
  4. Procedure for the sugar syrup ......
  5. Boil water in a pan and add sugar to it .
  6. Stir and heat the mixture till it acquires a very thick consistency .
  7. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool .
  8. Procedure for chop ... Take a portions of the dough and put a little Kheer in the centre .
  9. Seal the mixture by stretching the dough over it very slowly .
  10. From an oval shapes with it by gently potting it with the hand.
  11. Heat ghee in a pan and deep fry the chops till they are golden brown in colour.
  12. When cooked , gently toss them in the sugar syrup .
  13. Make the Strawberry Sauce ....
  14. 1 cup of strawberry and 4 tablespoons of sugar in a medium saucepan over high heat .
  15. Bring to a gently boil , stirring constantly and allow the strawberry to cook for a good 5 minutes .
  16. Pour the mixture into a fine mesh strainer and place over a bowl .
