Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mutton - 250 gms
  2. Clarified butter - 4 tbsp
  3. Cloves - 3 - 4
  4. Black cardamom - 2
  5. Mace - one piece
  6. Black pepper - 4 - 5
  7. Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  9. Sliced onion - 1
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Cashew paste - 1/2 cup
  12. Half done rice - 1 cup
  13. Kevra water - 1 tbsp
  14. Saffron - few strands

Instructions

  1. Heat clarified butter in a pan.
  2. Add whole garam masala and fry for a few seconds.
  3. Add sliced onion and mutton pieces and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and salt and mix well.
  5. Add water and cook in a low flame for half an hour.
  6. Add cashew nut paste and mix well.
  7. Add half done rice.
  8. Evenly spread the half done rice and mutton to form at least two layer.
  9. Add cinnamon powder and saffron strands.
  10. Tightly cover the pan and cook 7 - 8 mins.
  11. Add kevra water before serving.
