ABOUT TRAVEL TOMATO SPICY CHUTNEY RECIPE

Speciality of this Travel Tomato Chutney is not prepared with water. It's thoroughly cooked with only oil. Spiciness of chilli powder and slight aromatic of cinnamon makes to devour extra rotis or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tomatoes 1/2kg
  2. Garlic 2 whole(25 cloves)
  3. Onion 2
  4. Chilli powder 11/2 teaspoon (individuals taste)
  5. Cinnamon 2
  6. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil 3 tablespoon
  9. Curry leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok.
  2. Add cinnamon and wait till it infuse in oil.
  3. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  4. Add cut onion and garlic and saute for a while.
  5. Add cut tomatoes, chilli powder and salt to taste.
  6. Simmer gas flame to low.
  7. No need to add water. Slow cook for 25 minutes stirring often.
  8. Being travel chutney no need to add water.. Onion, garlic and tomatoes are cooked in sufficient oil which helps to stay for a week in cold weather if properly maintained.
  9. When oil starts to float on surface of the chutney its done. Garnish it with curry leaves.
  10. Goes well with any Indian breads, as a pickle or can mix and have with hot plain rice.
  11. Travel Tomato Spicy chutney is ready to consume.
