As we all know that uttapum is a south indian recipe and we need a fermented batter for uttapum which takes time. So i made this instant uttapum recipe which tastes delicious .So now take a look on the recipe

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread slices 4
  2. All purpose flour 1/2 cup
  3. Semolina 1/2 Cup
  4. Curd 1/2 cup
  5. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  6. Chopped Green chilies 2
  7. Ginger 1 inch
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Finely chopped onion 1
  10. 1/2 capsicum finely chopped
  11. Finely Chopped tomato 1
  12. chopped Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp
  13. Oil to drizzle

Instructions

  1. Blend Bread slices ,semolina ,All purpose flour, ginger and water in a mixer grinder jar to form a smooth batter
  2. Transfer prepared batter in a bowl. Add curd, green chilies, tomato, onion, salt , cumin seeds, coriander leaves and mix them well. Batter should be smooth pouring consistency
  3. Heat Tawa and drizzle 1 tsp oil on it . Pour a laddleful batter and spread it in a circular motion. Cook on medium to low flame
  4. When it becomes dry from upper side , flip and cook. Drizzle 1 tsp oil all around the uttapam
  5. Transfer to serving plate and serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup
