ABOUT Broccoli besan curry RECIPE

Spiced chickpea flour coated with broccoli florets gives nice flavour and texture to curry.As broccoli is rich in vitamin c and dietary fibre this would be an healthy choice to include in routine diet.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. One small broccoli
  2. Three Tablespoon chickpea flour
  3. One teaspoon coriander powder
  4. One teaspoon red chilli powder
  5. Half teaspoon garam masala powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon chat masala
  7. Pinch of turmeric
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Finely chopped 2 garlic cloves
  10. cooking oil
  11. For Tempering:
  12. Teaspoon of cumin and mustard seeds
  13. Few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. First step is to take three tablespoon of chick pea flour(besan) in bowl
  2. Add spices teaspoon red chilli powder,teaspoon coriander powder and half teaspoon garam masala powder
  3. Even add 1/4tsp chat masala and salt as per taste
  4. Add teaspoon oil,pinch of turmeric powder and mix everything so that all spices are coated well with chick pea flour.This prepared chickpeaflour spice mixture is further used for curry preparation
  5. For preparing curry take wide pan and add oil to it. When iil is heated add cumin,mustard seedsWhen they splutter add few curry leaves and chopped garlic
  6. Next add broccoli florets and saute for few minutes
  7. Once broccoli florets are half cooked add chick peaflour spice mixture and give a mix
  8. Sprinkle very little water,cover and cook for few minutes so that chick pea flour spice mixture gets blended with florets
  9. We need to sprinkle very little water just to prevent curry becoming too dry
  10. Serve the curry with hot rice
