Airfried Extra Tangy Spicy Potatoes

ABOUT Airfried Extra Tangy Spicy Potatoes RECIPE

These baby potatoes are packed with flavours, caramelized that are crispy on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside, all coated with a tangy spicy sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Baby Potatoes 500 gm
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. Chopped ginger 1 tablespoon
  4. Chopped garlic 1 tablespoon
  5. Deseeded dried red chili 3-4
  6. Tamarind pulp 1/2 cup
  7. Dates pulp 2 tablespoon
  8. Honey 2 teaspoon
  9. Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Fennel seed powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil 2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly. Prick the potatoes all over with a fork.
  2. Add 1 tsp oil and salt to the bowl of potatoes. Toss well.
  3. Put the potatoes into airfryer basket. Cook (no need to preheat) at 160 C (320 F) for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add dried red chills, chopped onion, ginger and garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add tamarind pulp, dates pulp, honey. Cook till the raw smell of tamarind goes away, nearly 4-5 minutes.
  6. Add cumin powder, fennel seed powder and salt. Mix well. Switch off the flame.
  7. Now grind this tamarind sauce in mixer grinder into a fine paste.
  8. Mix airfried baby potatoes with this tamarind sauce. And put it back into airfryer basket.
  9. Cook at 180 C for 10-12 minutes.
